So after dinner Aaron and I went to the variety show down in the theater. They had a couple of the people that had performed before, like the singers, perform again. They did alright, but I can see why they work on a cruise ship. Picture the people that sing at Lagoon and there you have it. Maybe I'm biased about singers, since I've heard and known some really good ones! The next act I liked. It was the comedian/magician. His first name is Richard and his last name I can't remember but it reminded me of the word purple. He is pretty funny, by being kind of an idiot. The last act was one done by the cruise director and some of his top staff. The called it 'Fountains', what they did was everyone walked out in a line. They were dressed like greeks, (white sheets like togas) and carried aluminum water pitchers. They had Enya playing in the background and with their moves choreographed they would hold up the pitcher then take a drink of water. Instead of swallowing it, they would spit it out at the other people. It got real funny when they all started spitting in revenge at eachother! Then at the end they took a drink of the water and started walking toward the audience. People started scrambling away from the first row. It was funny.
After that there was a game 'show' at the other end of the ship. We decided to go and watch, since it was supposed to be the director and the crew mates, didn't turn out that way. They got everyone EXCEPT the crew mates involved. They split everyone up into groups of 10 (or as close to it). Each team was given a number, and then the 'host' would call up something like, 'a woman wearing mans shoes'. So a woman wearing mans shoes would run up with the number and get the points. They had some fun ones like a person holding a lone shoelace, or one funny one was a man pretending to give birth. You could really tell the ones that had really seen it! The 'host' told the guys that when a woman is in labor there is no laughter! HAHA I tried to get a picture of Aaron doing that, but it didn't turn out. Then the calls started to get a little crazy. One was a man without a shirt on, which isn't bad, but the next one was a woman without a shirt on. No one from our team went up. They had 2 women kissing with tongue and two men kissing with tongue. Again no one from our team went up for either of those. Then the very last one was NUTS! It was a man without a shirt, pants or shoes, wearing a womans bra, lipstick and carrying a purse. No one went up from our team, but some girl found someone to do it for us. Some of these guys I swear had on velcro clothes and must have already had a bra on they got up there so fast! Then instead of letting the guys go and get dressed they had them parade around the room (children under 18 were not allowed in this room this night). Some of these men were way too into this! One was a guy in I would say his late 50's who had on his old man underpants. They were too big for him and pulled WAY too high up his back! It was a moment where I was just thinking that men should wear clothes over their underpants. This old man and his wife we had seen around the ship a couple times and we tried to avoid them, although I don't think they would have wanted to be around us because we weren't 20. They were acting like they were 20, and I found this terribly inappropriate. I realize this may be judging, but believe me when I say that I saw 'more' of those 2 then I wanted and never on the beach in bathing suits. I think they may have been swingers. I was so not impressed with these people. There were so many other people that I was impressed with on this trip, that I like to think of them instead.
After the 'game' that Aaron and I were wishing we hadn't been a part of (least we didn't do anything that we found inappropriate, like drinking or nakedness) and we walked around a bit more. We went back to our room to pack for the next morning. After we packed we watched a movie and went to bed. The last night we went to bed knowing that we were leaving the next day, but we (I) were ready to see the kids.
