Family Pictures

Yesterday my mom got everyone together to have family pictures. She picked Memory Grove in Salt Lake for the pics. When we got there I noticed that that park is one of the most busy parks on Sunday. We ended up parking about 2 blocks away, which really wasn't bad. We followed my dad around the park for about a half hour waiting for him to pick 'the' spot. When we finally found a good spot we began to settle down. We started cleaning up the kids who until that point had been playing games with my brothers, their uncles. So of course that means that pants that were clean before now had grass stains. Men that don't have kids don't realize how hard it is to keep them clean when they are wrestling on the grass, or they do realize, but don't care. I'm not sure which one. Ten minutes of settling down in 'the' spot mom and dad decided that this was not 'the' spot. I had started to feed a screaming baby when they decided to walk around somemore! I finished up as quick as I could and we took off once again!

Everyone seemed to have the same idea that we had, go to the Grove and take pics. There were families everywhere havings pics done. Some woman was even there fixing her boob so that it would look right in her pic! (She did this as she walked past us without a care! We thought is was a little funny.) We finally found another spot and took some pics. My boys would not cooperate to save my life! Andrew had to sit where he wanted, so we all moved to suit him, Ethan would not keep his legs from going funny, then neither wanted to smile! We took 4 pics. I hope my brother can fix one up to where it looks like we all like eachother! Then came the huge family pic. Boy that was fun! The only way to get Andrew to smile was to let him sit by my sister-in-law Catie! What a mess! Then we looked over at the bridge and what did we see? Some gay men getting their pics done as well. I have nothing agaist gay men, but must they pose with their hands on eachothers butts?! My boys had funny looks their faces when they saw it. To say the least we distracted them as best we could. My niece pointed at them and shook her head. That was funny.

We walked around some more and took some more pics. The end results I hope are worth it! This is our first family pic in a very long time. I hope we don't have to do it again for awhile! With the kids crying, and my brothers not helping and being silly it was a fun evening though!

Hey Cari - I love the pictures! And I love reading about your battles of keeping your kids clean and in control. I know that feeling all too well.

P.S. you've been tagged. Check out my blog for the details. (sorry) (but thanks)
