Hair

Have you ever noticed how your hair gives you away? It tells everyone how you are feeling that day or what you have been doing. Your hair can also give your age. Of course this is left to be argued. Take for example my dad. His hair has been very salt and pepper for most of my years growing up. We would have the people at Lagoon guess his age because we knew we would get a prize! Young people mostly have great hair. It lies on their head just right, even when they think they have a bad hair cut. As you get older it takes more work to get it just so. Maybe that's why my hair always looks like I've been cleaning all day (which I probably have not). I just pull mine up into a ponytail, just to get it out of my face. Back before children I would spend the time to curl my hair and make it look good. Now not so much. I have even noticed that after having kids I have mysterious waves in my hair that were not there before! It wouldn't be bad if the waves made a good difference in the way my hair lays, but no, they make a bad difference. Unless I use a straitner or a curling iron on my hair it always looks like I just took it out of a ponytail. Lovely with the strange bump in the middle. It looks like that even right after I have use the blowdryer on it.
My mother has also noticed how hair can show your age. It started the other day when she looked at me and started pulling strands of hair out. She then showed me these strands and what did I see? GREY HAIRS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I couldn't believe it! ME?! Going yucky grey ALREADY!!!!!!!!!!!! I am only 28! HOW could this be happening to me?! So that is why I am doing what I am doing at this very moment.........Dying my hair so that you the general public cannot see my hidious transformation to getting old!
