Last weekend we went on our first family camping trip. It wasn't just our family's first, but also the first with my entire family. My mom especially had never been camping before this!
We had planned to be in the Uintas before noon on Friday, but things didn't work out the way we planned. Aaron had been in Iowa for the begining of the week and was going to fly home Thurday night. He missed his connecter flight by 5 min and ended up not getting home until noon Friday. We finally made it in the mountains by about 4:30. We had some fun finding a camp site, but we found one at Mirror Lake. We set up camp and then some of us went fishing, others stayed around the camp site, and I made dinner. We had a dutch oven chicken dinner with fried potatos that everyone seemed to like. (That was my first real time cooking in a dutch oven.)
That night Aaron had trouble sleeping, because his back was acting up. He went up to the car to sit with the seat warmer. When he got out of the car my brother Skot thought that Aaron was a bear. Skot is strange that way. Thinking that a bear would just step out of a car and look at you. Next morning we went fishing. At first nothing was happening, then Aaron's pole started to go, Andrew grabbed the pole and realed in his very first fish!! He was so proud!! All in all it was a good trip and we hope to go again!

Wow, look who's turning into a blogging fool....it looks like you guys had fun!
the story of me thinking that Aaron was a bear is told with great many inaccuracies. To start I was at an angle where I did not see what was making the noise or in what way(aaron getting out of the car). As soon as aaron was in sight there was no question as to who it was. Keep in mind that it was 4am and anyone in Bear Country hearing sounds in the middle of the night is smarter being cautious.
