30

So I turned 30 the other Monday. I was not looking forward to this age, but who can stop time? Aaron had been asking me for about 2 months what I wanted, and to tell you the truth, I had no clue. I usually have no idea what I want when someone asks, they should just pay attention to what I ask for during the year! So finally I thought that having a netbook would be a good idea. I am going to start school this fall and would really enjoy not having to fight the boys for use of the computer. (they think it's theirs, I know it's mine.) One day a few weeks before my birthday Aaron and I stopped at Best Buy just to look at some netbooks. As we were looking a sales man asked us if we needed any help and we started asking questions. They guy of course tried to get us to buy the most expencive netbook by telling us all the wonderful things about it. I decided that I did not need all those things and got a netbook that was in the medium range. So far I really like it. It's so easy to use and it's nice that I can sit on the couch or be in bed and still be on the computer. I am going to use it for school, but not until I go!

On my birthday the boys gave me presents. Isaac gave me some make-up (that was the wrong color so I had to exchange it), Andrew gave me one of those metal waterbottles that I've been looking at, but haven't bought yet. Ethan gave me Lego Batman for the Wii. I told Ethan that it was really a one-sided gift, and he answered,' Ya, I know.' So at least he's honest!

We dropped the boys off at my moms house and took off to Salt Lake. We drove to the Gateway and stopped at the shoe store. Aaron needed new black sunday shoes and I had some coupons that were going to expire the next day. They were having a buy one get one half off sale so I started to look around too. We got 2 pairs of shoes with the coupons and the sale we paid $40! They were $95 together, so I feel we got a really good deal. We went to Old Navy and walked around although I can't find hardly anything I like there anymore. Does that mean I am getting too old for that store?

We took tracks to Lambs Grill and on the way got struck by my mothers curse. Some strange crazy lady sat down next to us and struck up a conversation. She even had us read a paper that she wrote. I was happy when it was time for us to get off the train. At Lambs Grill we were starving and they sat us at the table that was next to the dessert! We were just drooling looking at everything. The food could not come fast enough! When it finally did it was soooo good! If you ever get a chance you should go there! I feel like the 1940's mobsters should be in the resturant as well, the decor is awesome!

We stopped at the new Deseret Book and it is a wonderful store. If you get a chance you should go to that too! On our way back to the Gateway to see a movie (thanks Rachel) I got a text that said we won an endzone with Five for Fighting the next day! It's where about 30 people get to come and meet the artist and be there for the interview. The artist also sings a couple songs. Both Aaron and I are big fans of Five for Fighting and have been for about 10 or so years. The endzone was great and we got his autograph along with a picture. He was giving a concert later that night, but Aaron had school so we hadn't bothered to get tickets. Luckly the power at school went out so we decided to go. I am a huge nerd and had never been to a concert before. (not counting the syphony) It was great! The opening band was so good that we bought their cd. When Five for Fighting came on he did a great job. He sounds just like he does on his cd's. It was so much fun and I wasn't ready for it to be over. I could have listened to him for about 2 more hours!

All in all it was a great birthday!
