Start of Summer

Ethan's last day of school is tomorrow. I am going to miss the extra quiet that I get when he is at school, but now Andrew and Isaac have more to do during the day. Weather wise it has been a slow start to the summer, but I've rather enjoyed the cool air. I kinda hope that it will be a cooler summer. The boys have already started the late nights outside playing with the neighbor kids, and the racing bikes and scooters up and down the street. We live on a quiet street so it's not dangerous as long as they are watching. While watching them today I couldn't help but wonder if we are going to have any stitches or broken bones this summer. I really hope not! Isaac is excited to be able to go outside more often than before. He has tried to help in the garden and already become a muddy mess. He loved it.

Of course getting ready for summer means getting the popsicles and extra snacks ready. I have already been preparing for all that fun. My boys think that we can feed the whole neighborhood as well. We also have plenty of Wii games for when the outside world is boring (?) or too hot. Ethan is very excited for summer, so much so that he volunteered to watch the class frog for the summer. I really hope that someone else gets that wonderful opportunity! I am going to get some yearly passes to some different locations this summer so that when I do start to go stir crazy we will have somewhere to go for free.

Aaron has started to teach the boys baseball. We are using tennis balls so that windows won't break (so we hope). We are thinking of going hiking up Timpanogus this summer, but with so many people already falling off the trail this year we may find other trails to hike.

I have also signed the boys up for a summer enrichment program at the school. I figure this way they will have some fun with other people than the ones that they are going to get bored with. I am also hoping that this will help when they go back to school in the fall. And it gives me time to find my sanity during the day.

Aaron has given me the best summer present though. I know most of you have already read on facebook that we are going on a cruise for our 10th anniversary, and we are very excited to accually have plans for our anniversary, (as we have had the famous 'car ride' and the 'we got our anniversary dinner for under$10 because we had tons of coupons and no money' celebrations.) but we scheduled it the last week of summer before school starts. A perfect end to summer madness!

During the summer there will be more posts (some may not make sense depending on my sanity) and we all hope that the hospital will not be in any part of them.! Have a great summer!!!

Well the hospital will probably be one of them, since I will be having a baby! :)
